We are proud to feature Matt Oldfather, ranch and land specialist and lifelong outdoorsman, as our agent spotlight this month!
A proud Boerne native now based in New Braunfels, Matt grew up living the ranching lifestyle on his family's ranch – where a variety of hunts are hosted each year, including a meaningful annual hunt for combat veterans. Add in years spent working cattle operations and a Ranch Management degree from TCU, and it's clear Matt didn't just study land, he knows and understands it firsthand.
That upbringing shapes the way he shows up for clients. Whether he's helping a buyer find the property that fits their vision or positioning a ranch to hit the market successfully, Matt brings a practical, hands-on understanding of what it really takes to know land — from the value of each acre to what a buyer is hoping to gain from a new property.
For Matt, ranch and land real estate is deeply personal. It’s more than transactional, he's a fellow hunter, a fellow steward, and a fellow believer in true conservation. When he says he loves good dirt and good people, he means it — and it shows in every relationship he builds.
