I had to share this beautiful note from my client, Jim.

Losing a parent is never easy, and selling the home his mother loved for 40 years made this a truly heartfelt journey. Along the way, we discovered an in-ground oil tank, which certainly added some unexpected stress and challenges.

Fortunately, the home was in a wonderful neighborhood, and we ended up with multiple offers. I also had some fun creating virtual staging so buyers could envision all the possibilities the home had to offer.

Like many real estate transactions, there were moments that were challenging, but everything worked out in the end. I am so grateful for Jim's trust throughout the process and honored to have helped him close this important chapter of his life.

As the nation prepares to commemorate the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, the Town of New Canaan is launching a community-wide celebration to honor this historic milestone.

NC250 Parade – June 27, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. (Rain date: June 28, 2026, 1:00 p.m.)

Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular – July 4, 2026, at Waveny Park. Tickets are on sale at New Canaan Parks & Rec. or Walter Stewarts.
The parade and fireworks celebration are expected to draw residents of all ages and serve as signature moments of the America 250 observance in New Canaan.

“This anniversary represents a remarkable opportunity for our community to reflect on our shared history while celebrating the values that continue to unite us,” said Tucker Murphy. “We encourage residents, organizations, and businesses to take part in what will be a memorable and meaningful year for New Canaan.”
