With nice weather forecasted and an extra day off, take advantage of these 5 activities in and around Fairfield this weekend.

Please share this with anyone who may be interested or save it for inspiration for anytime you find yourself struggling for something fun to do.

1. Hit the beach. This may be obvious but there are not many beach worthy weekends remaining until next year so why not take advantage while you can.

2. Take a hike. Fairfield offers several options for taking a walk through nature. You have the salt marshes by the beach and trails through the woods near Lake Mohegan.

3. Go for a ride. Hop on your bike and go for a cruise on Fairfield's self-guided 5 Beach Bike Tour. With such beautiful views, you won't even notice that you've travelled over 15 miles.

4. Zoom across the treetops in the dark at Glow in the Park at The Adventure Park at the Discovery Museum. The park is lit up and music will be blasting making for a fun time for all ages.

5. Visit one of Connecticut's great museums, free of charge. This is the last weekend of the state's CT Summer at the Museum where all children and one accompanying adult can enter museums free of charge. See link in bio for the full list and any restrictions.

Housing inventory has ticked up a bit in recent months. But its still much lower than it was pre-pandemic. This graph gives you an idea of the difference on a national level. Here in Fairfield County, has gone up the last few months, but it's still about the same or slightly lower than earlier this year.

Moral of the story - there's no reason right now to worry about a housing market crash. Follow the facts on this, not the media hype.
