Pennsylvania Manufactured Housing Association (PMHA)

Pennsylvania Manufactured Housing Association (PMHA) PMHA has been the legislative, regulatory and educational voice of the factory–built housing industry for 75 years!

The Pennsylvania Manufactured Housing Association (PMHA) began in the 1940's when a small group of Pittsburgh mobile home and camper dealers joined to overcome a problem facing the dealers of Pennsylvania. Though formed in 1946, we officially incorporated in 1949 and later established headquarters in New Cumberland, PA.

⚡ Power Outage? Be Ready. 🏠

Power outages can happen with little warning, but a little preparation can make a big difference. This September 17th, PMHA is encouraging manufactured homeowners and communities to take a few simple steps now to stay safe, comfortable, and connected when the lights go out.

🔦 Build an emergency kit with flashlights, batteries, water, food, first-aid supplies, and medications.
🔋 Keep portable chargers and backup power options ready.
📱 Sign up for local alerts and have a battery-powered or hand-crank radio available.
❄️ Keep refrigerator and freezer doors closed during an outage.
🤝 Check on neighbors—especially older adults and anyone who may need extra assistance.

Preparation isn't just about your own home. Strong communities look out for one another.

Be Ready. Be Resilient. Be Prepared.

🛣️ Transportation Safety Day — September 15, 2026

Safety is a team effort—and every person involved in transporting a manufactured home plays an important role in ensuring it arrives safely and successfully.

On Transportation Safety Day, PMHA recognizes the drivers, escorts, installers, and logistics professionals whose teamwork, preparation, and attention to detail help protect our roads, our homes, and our communities.

Thank you to the professionals who make safety a priority at every step of the journey. Together, you deliver more than homes—you deliver safety, reliability, and peace of mind.

A home is more than four walls—it’s also the community around it. Manufactured housing can provide an attainable place to call home while creating neighborhoods where people connect, families grow, and lasting roots are built.

Strong manufactured housing communities can offer shared spaces that bring neighbors together, create a sense of belonging, provide stability for today and tomorrow, and give families room to grow and thrive.

When we rethink housing, we should think beyond the walls of the home. We should think about the people, neighborhoods, and communities that make a place truly feel like home.

❤️ Modern. Affordable. Built for today.
🏘️ Rethink Manufactured Housing. Rethink what community can look like.

Transporting a manufactured home takes more than getting from one destination to another. It requires skill, patience, precision, and an unwavering commitment to safety. Every mile traveled represents an important step toward helping individuals and families find a place to call home.

During National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, we extend our sincere thanks to the drivers who take on this responsibility every day. Your dedication does not go unnoticed, and we appreciate all that you do!
