HINES HEIGHTS STORY
Here is the story of how you arrived here today. If you look out the sliding glass door, you will see the small town of New Cumberland, WV where I grew up. This is where I was raised and made many wonderful memories. I have many great memories of my childhood hiking through the woods and enjoying days on the river. It was always a dream of mine to have a place where l could enjoy both of those things. Not to mention a place that overlooks my peaceful hometown. This is how the Hines Heights spark was ignited. In 2017, at the age of 27, I decided to make this dream a reality. I didn't know it at the time, but it was shaping up to become a big page in my book of life. I became an uncle for the first time to a beautiful niece, I purchased the property
you are standing on today, and most importantly, I met the love of my life. Poor girl didnt have a clue what she was signing up for. After purchasing the property that sunmer, I spent the rest of the year clearing the land. When I was growing up, I always kept my dad busy building everything from a wooden boat to a club house to play in. Now it was my chance to take everything l had learned and apply it to something bigger. In the spring of 2018, I broke ground for the cabin, hell bent on drinking coffee on my porch as I watch the boats go by. With the help of my future wife and my family, and friends, we started building the cabin. To date, clearing the land and building this cabin is one of the toughest tasks l have undertaken. It took literal blood, sweat, and tears to shape this property into what you see today. It turned out to be a good audition for my wife to see if she had what it takes to handle the other big projects l had in store for us later in life. Needless to say, she passed the test and is still dealing with my love of extreme projects. Now that you have learned the journey that brought you here today, I hope you have the chance to relax and enjoy my vision that we etched into the hillside.
