Back in 1786, the city was briefly renamed “Louisburg” to honor King Louis XVI of France for supporting America during the Revolutionary War. 🇫🇷

But there was one problem… the founder hated the name so much that he refused to sell land under it. 😅

Eventually, the name changed back to Harrisburg, and the rest is history.
