Did you know Halifax played a role in the French & Indian War?
Long before Halifax became the quiet community it is today, it was home to Fort Halifax, a military stronghold built by the Pennsylvania militia between 1756 and 1757 during the French & Indian War. ⚔
The fort served as an important defensive post along the Susquehanna River during a turbulent time in Pennsylvania's history.
Today, you can still visit the preserved grounds at Fort Halifax Park and explore a piece of local history right here in Dauphin County.
