The Village of New Lenox is seeking a visionary Community Development Director to help guide a community experiencing significant residential, commercial, and infrastructure growth. This is a unique opportunity to lead a dynamic department responsible for planning, zoning, economic development, engineering programs, and building services.

New Lenox continues to attract new housing developments, expanding business investment, and major infrastructure improvements while maintaining the high quality of life that has made it one of the most desirable communities in the southwest suburbs. The Community Development team sits at the center of these opportunities, helping shape everything from new neighborhoods and commercial corridors to long-term economic development strategies and capital improvement projects.

We're seeking a Community Development Director who is equal parts strategist, collaborator, and problem-solver. If you are a leader who is energized by growth and understands how to turn opportunity into development that benefits residents, businesses, and future generations, this is an ideal role for you.

When your high school teacher & basketball coach calls to tell you she’s retiring, moving to Florida and needs you to sell her Orland Park home, you do whatever it takes to make it happen!
And let me tell you, this one was a roller coaster ride! But we made it to the closing table, and I couldn’t be more grateful to “A” and her husband for trusting me to guide them through it and get it DONE. There’s something pretty special about helping someone who was part of your own story years ago start an entirely new chapter of theirs. I’m so excited for the two of them to enjoy retirement and begin their next chapter in the Sunshine State! ☀️🌴 Although…I’m thinking I may just have to take a quick trip down to visit when the Chicago winter hits.

Right-sizing for this family hits all the feels. I met with these sweet people back in March. They needed to find a one level home with a 2-car garage for under $275,000. And we finally found them "The One" in Worth and I'm just so darn happy for them. Wishing this humble family years of health & happiness in their next chapter.
