Our company is growing!
We are looking for a part time property manager for a brand new Section 42 property that caters to all age ranges. This property is still in the lease-up phase, which will allow for additional bonus incentives. Prior property management experience needed.
Minimum skills we are seeking for the right candidate:
-Strong sales skills
-Strong customer service skills
-Strong organizational skills
-Very comfortable with computers and technology
- Microsoft Outlook, Word experience
- Microsoft Excel experience a plus
- Very good ability to navigate the internet from a desktop computer
- Very good typing skills
- Knowledge of scanning documents, retrieving files from your computer, emailing documents
-Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize
-Ability to manage time effectively and follow company policy
-Ability to work well with others as you would be managing 1 other employee
Preference given to those with the following experience or skills:
-Prior rental property management experience
-Prior Fair Housing training or experience
-Experience with Yardi property management software
-Experience with the Section 42 LITHC program
-Maintenance and repair experience and/or knowledge
This position would require the following duties be performed, including, but not limited to:
-Speaking to and qualifying prospective renters
-Showing available homes to prospective renters
-Taking prospective renters through the application process
-Processing applications to rent including verifying income and assets
-Compiling provided lease documents and performing move in functions
-Market current or upcoming available homes through various online sources including Craigslist, Facebook, and more - do community outreach as needed including placing flyers and networking with other apartment communities as needed
-Inspecting currently occupied homes for maintenance needs and proper care by resident
-Process requests for maintenance and communicating to maintenance technician
-Following up on completed work requests
-Collecting rents and processing
-Serving notices of rents due, lease violations
-File eviction per company policy for rents
-Notifying residents of upcoming lease renewals and re-certification process
-Process re-certification documentation
-Enter invoices for processing and work within approved budget
-Participate in weekly calls with supervisor to speak to current occupancy, delinquency and re-certification status
