Happy Thursday!! 😀 IT'S NATIONAL FARM RESCUER DAY!
Author | C. Knighten
The 3rd Thursday in March is dedicated to those amazing volunteers who step up to support farmers in need!!
Life happens to everyone.....illness🤢, injury👩🦼 and natural disasters🌪 strike us all. However, when it happens to farmers, there is even more at stake. Farmers and Ranchers produce all of our food sources.......from fruits🍇, grains, nuts, to beef🐂, pork🐖, chicken🐔, fish🐟, and all those wonderful vegetables🍅🍆🥒🫑 we love to consume! When crisis strike......volunteers step in to handle the day to day chores that must be done......whether seeds need planting, crops need harvesting or the cows need to be fed......these amazing volunteers take care of the tasks that must be done to ensure that the farm continues.
While this was once, only a community tradition It has developed into a non-profit organization known as Farm Rescue. Founded in 2005, the individuals who have volunteered, have assisted nearly 800 farm and ranch families throughout the mid-west region. This day encourages all those able bodied hands, no matter what your background, to volunteer when the need arises!
There are many ways you can volunteer, from giving financial resources, time, talents, and good old fashioned hard work! Managing and running a farm requires all 'hands on 'deck'.....when the unexpected happens, Farm Rescue steps in with the resources to keep everything running as smoothly as possible!
Currently, Farm Rescue serves the following states:
🫘North Dakota
🌽Montana
🌱Minnesota
🌻South Dakota
🐂Nebraska
🥛Iowa
🍞Kansas
GREAT WAYS TO CELEBRATE THIS DAY:
🦺Volunteer: Skills, Time or Financial resources are all helpful.
🧑⚖️Sponsor a volunteer.
💳Make a donation to Farm Rescue.
Personally we are grateful for the farmers, ranchers, truckers and for every person in a profession that effects the production of our food resources. Without them, well....we might not eat nearly as well we currently do!! More importantly, where would you raise chickens, cattle, pigs, crops, vegetables, fruit and nuts....let alone mill cows???🧐😳
Have a great day....remember our farmers and if you want to learn more about investment farms, give us a call!
