☀️ A sunny Sunday is a great day to talk Commercial, Land, or Residential listings!! 😎

Are you considering selling your business? I have buyers asking me all the time if there are businesses for sale that aren’t publicly advertising it.
It’s a hard decision to explore the sale if your business and it’s even harder to find the right buyer for the right price.

I’ve been in the business world since the fourth grade when a friend donated a pair of Nikes to me when he saw the holes in my hand-me-down shoes. The next day I came to school wearing those hand-me-downs. My friend asked why I wasn’t wearing those Nikes. I told him I traded those shoes. He wasn’t that mad but he did want to know what I traded them for. I was excited to tell him about the deal I made with them. I had given them to John in exchange for him breaking up with Alice. I wanted Alice to be my girlfriend. John agreed! 🥰 Two days later, I asked Alice (through another friend through Alice’s friend) if Alice would be my girlfriend. Alice told her friend to tell my friend to tell me, YES!
I was well on my way to the top. Understanding leverage and value and how each of these things vary depending on who you talk to and how they see the world.
By Friday Alice had dumped me and was back with John. John actually told Alice all about the deal and Alice agreed to play along. John ended up with the girl and a used pair of Nikes he never wore. He just loved the thought of me not getting to wear them. The holes in my shoes were now symbolic of the holes in my business plan.
Yes this was in the fourth grade and no John and I were not repeating the fourth grade for the 10th time. We were 9! lol.
What I learned from this experience still applies today (and still happens around me today).

I could list 100 lessons to be learned from this. Besides the fact that I don’t wear Nike shoes now, I remember 1 valuable lesson: just because you get what you wanted, doesn’t mean you have what you got.

I share my experience for humor but also to stress that I take every experience in my life as a learning tool.

My experiences, my observations, and my mentors are what help me make a good Realtor for you to sell your business. Finding the right business to sell for the right buyer.

South of Powhattan Point there is a small Beagle??? running down Route 7. Near the bbq truck. I don’t know anything about rabbit dogs but he/she seems bound and determined to find something. Nose down to ground ignoring everything around him/her and appears to have a tracking collar on.
