THE QUARTER
Netflix Original Series | Crime • Drama • Thriller
Official synopsis:
New Orleans has always belonged to someone.
For generations, old families, politicians, developers and power brokers have quietly decided who gets rich, who gets pushed out—and who gets buried.
Jason Delatte built his real-estate empire without belonging to any of them.
Now approaching 50, Jason has money, influence, a family he would do anything to protect, and enough property throughout New Orleans to make him impossible to ignore. But when the death of a powerful developer unexpectedly puts a billion-dollar redevelopment project within his reach, Jason discovers that the most valuable real estate in Louisiana isn’t controlled by deeds and contracts.
It’s controlled by relationships, secrets and leverage.
As Jason moves deeper into New Orleans’ hidden power structure, he finds himself negotiating with political families, old-money dynasties, organized crime, ambitious developers and people who remember exactly how the city was built.
And they don’t appreciate outsiders changing the rules.
Jason begins the series believing he’s trying to acquire the biggest deal of his life.
By the end of Season 1, he realizes—
the deal was never the property.
It was control of the city.
