A proud moment for New Orleans Restoration Properties (NORP), the Hollygrove neighborhood and the city of New Orleans! Yesterday we broke ground on Grove Place Apartments, a 32-home affordable community in Hollygrove.

As a fourth-generation family who grew up in Hollygrove, this project allows us to give back to an area that gave us so much.

Thank you to Mayor LaToya Cantrell, Louisiana State Treasurer John Schroder, Councilman Joseph Giarrusso and our amazing partners, family and friends who were there to support us. All of you helped to bring this project to fruition!

Yesterday we gave out turkey’s in Holygrove in conjunction with and Young Money Records. Shoutout Ezra Landry, my long time friend, teammate, and fellow hollygrove native with for making the connection. Today we gave out turkey’s in Holygrove in conjunction with Lil Wayne aka and Young Money Records. New Orleans we need this! Vote “yes” to props 1, 2, and 3 on the upcoming millage. This will not only decrease property taxes, but redirect funds to needed areas like: affordable housing, economic development, maintenance & infrastructure reserves, early childhood development, and our public libraries. Vote early from Nov 20-28 or on Dec 5th! Look at our city and look at our mayor!

Ashton Theatre 8437 Apple St. Was designed by black architect Ferdinand Rousseve who was born here in New Orleans. He received his education some of the most prestigious institutions in MIT, U Chicago, and Harvard where he gained his PhD in architecture. He would also go on to teach at Howard and design plans for many other buildings throughout the south. He was also a well-known civic leader in the community for in*******al justice. He is one of many we look up to for paving the way.

Airline hwy 1940s v now. Went out to recreate these for a project and only change being the fence they put up not too long ago. People used to be able to walk right across those train tracks from Hollygrove to work.
