LOUISIANA GIANT: "Fats" Domino - New Orleans, LA

Fats grew up in New Orleans and was born to a French/Creole family.

He went on to pioneer the Rock & Roll genre and sold more than 65 million records during his career.

The Legend built his family home, in the lower 9th ward, which is where it stands to this day. The mansion sits on the left of this building, Fats publising company.

A strong arctic front is heading our way today, bringing gusty winds. A Wind Advisory will be in effect from 12 PM to midnight (low threat for severe weather this evening/night).

After the front passes, a Cold Weather Advisory will take effect from midnight to 9 AM Monday due to wind chill values in the 20s.

Here are some tips to stay safe and warm if temperatures drop below freezing:

Ensure they have warm shelter and access to fresh, non-frozen water. Bring pets like dogs and cats indoors.
