Years ago, I thought I knew what success was. I thought happiness was being successful and one couldn’t exist without the other. I was chasing the wrong thing. I thought more clients, more deals, more, more, and more was the answer to my problems. But it wasn’t. If you don’t feel worthy of the success you have grinded your way through because other things in your personal life are out of alignment, you can never go full speed without something failing.
Let’s use a car tire as an example. If you have a few loose lug nuts on a tire and you’re going 20 miles an hour. It’s something you will likely never even notice, the problems don’t reveal themselves in this example until you increase speed. At 40+ miles an hour, there is the wobbling, 60+ you are reaching the failure point, 70+ failure is imminent and an accident is just around the corner.
Now I know this. Everything matters. if you think it doesn’t, you haven’t tried to go 70+ MPH in this analogy, or you may be consciously or subconsciously throttling back because of what might happen which is the friction that is keeping you from a breakthrough.
Chasing success is a fools errand and it has ruined countless lives with so much promise and potential. Making daily decisions to become the type of person who is worthy of the success you’re aiming towards is a where it is at. If you don’t do that, you won’t feel worthy of it when it happens and you will sabotage it because subconsciously you know you’re not living in full alignment.
That may not be everyone’s experience but it was mine. Happiness, gratitude, fulfillment, Self-Esteem, and Success are all at your feet or already in you. You just have to decide to take action towards those areas of your life you know you are falling short on, and be brave enough to stare in the mirror till you figure it out. It’s not easy but it’s simple and it’s worth it. And YOU are worth it!
I am not where I want to be, but I am in route. And this time, I think I have it right. It’s worth the ride to see.
Love ya,
Speedy
