There’s a new coffee shop sherif in town!🤠 coffe shop opened up recently across from and in the Bywater (600 Piety St). It reminds me of a West Coast or Australian coffee shop complete with delicious food cooked on site (not just a begal and a muffin brought in.)The food is worth the trip alone! Their bean roaster is right next door to meet the demand of their coffee bean business, creating a little compound. The vibe is sophisticated but chill with outdoor seating as well. Applied Arts is a great addition to NOLA’s coffee scene which just keeps getting better and better. Definitely worth checking out! ☕️😍👍⚜️⚜️⚜️

I’m going to let you in on a little secret. There’s a tapas restaurant (for a lack of better word) with flavors from countries near or on the Mediterranean located on 2352 St Claude. It’s the closest I’ve come to eating in Europe while in NOLA. You could walk right by it and not notice the tiny sign, “Bar Pomona” above the bay window. Walk inside and expect a wait for a limited number of tables if you didn’t make reservations. The place is always busy, not loud though and with a more laid back vibe than most restaurants.
