Never stop paying attention! The owner of the property along the I-10 Service Road who wants to erect a billboard has filed a lawsuit in Civil Court to reverse the BZA and the S&P decision that a billboard is not permitted at the location. Unfortunately, loop holes to this rule do exist. The City Council needs to take action asap and call for no billboards near residential neighborhoods, period! No data centers and now NO BILLBOARDS!!

Today we remember the devastating events that occurred in our great City 21 years ago. Hurricane Katrina destroyed not only our homes and property but it also changed a way of life. WE are committed, WE will continue to be committed and WE will work tirelessly to bring economic and commercial developments back to New Orleans East. Just this year alone we successfully brought O’Reilly’s Auto Parts to the corner of Read Boulevard and Chef Menteur Highway. Our blight to beauty property was a complete restoration of a 6000 square foot commercial strip mall transformed into the beautiful Kaleidoscope Kidz Academy at Lake Forest Blvd and Bullard Avenue. And, most notably, the opening of the Rouses Market on Chef Menteur Highway. Our accomplishments speak for themselves. Today we are announcing the construction of 20 beautiful new homes that will span across the Donna Villa Subdivision with the first pile to be driven next month. Finally, expect another commercial development announcement to happen closer to the end of the year, you won’t be disappointed!!
