A new chapter is beginning for the historic German School House in Central City!

GCHP is partnering with the Tulane School of Architecture and Built Environment to transform the historic building into The Graduate Hub, a new educational facility for the School’s graduate students.

The approximately 24,000-square-foot facility will include studio and classroom space, a lecture hall, research labs, meeting rooms and offices, with space for approximately 100 to 120 students, faculty and staff each day.

Construction begins this month, with completion expected in summer 2027.

A look back at some back-to-school fun at H3C Apartments 🎒📚

At the end of July, GCHP joined Aetna, CVS Health & DePaul Community Health Centers to help residents of H3C, The Muses and King Rampart Apartments get ready for the new school year with backpacks and school supplies. Residents also enjoyed free haircuts from Natural Roots Barber Shop on Baronne Street, health assessments, nachos, snowballs and raffle prizes.

Our residents at The Pearl in Jackson felt the love over Fourth of July thanks to The Better MEN Society, who spent the holiday with residents reminding us that community is built through kindness, connection and showing up for one another. ❤️🤍💙

The Better Men Society teamed up with Pearl Apartments management to give residents a sense of community — complete with a hot meal and a DJ. Cooper, co-founder of the Better Men Society, said love was the driving force behind the event.

Bridget Rabun our VP of Corporate Capital represented GCHP in Washington, D.C. last week for National NeighborWorks America Legislative Day. She joined housing leaders from across the country to advocate for resources that support affordable housing and community development.

On Capitol Hill, she met with Congressman Mike Ezell and staff from Rep. Troy A Carter's office to share more about the work happening across the Gulf Coast and the importance of continued investment in housing.
