Libbie attended Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana before attending the University of Madrid, and graduating from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Her minor in Political Science prepared her for her first job as a Congressional staff member in Washington, DC for the late Louisiana Congressman Joe D. Upon moving to New Orleans in 1975 she began her career in real estate working for her good friend and mentor, Sylvia Roy, at Sylvia Roy Properties, an Uptown residential real estate brokerage company. She received her Louisiana Brokers’ License in 1978 and became involved in the acquisition and sale of apartment complexes and industrial parks in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Lafayette. and worked briefly as a broker of limited partnerships before becoming a licensed Financial Adviser for Thompson, McKinnon, Inc. Throughout the 1990s, Libbie was a Registered Representative licensed in stocks, bonds, insurance, and annuities. In the early 2000s, Libbie decided to return to real estate working for her good friend again, Sylvia Roy, who was now the manager of Gertrude Gardner, Inc. She has been employed here for the last 11 years and plans to continue in the booming New Orleans market as she can offer great expertise in the process of real estate sales and acquisitions both in residential and commercial investments. Libbie is married with four children and three grandchildren. She is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for sales and leasing.
