๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐๐ค๐๐๐ฐ๐๐ฒ: The Baton Rouge market is not declining, but stabilizing after several volatile years.
Across multiple sectors, we are seeing a shift toward more sustainable, long-term trends:
โข Multifamily rent growth has leveled off
โข Office demand is concentrating in higher-quality spaces
โข Industrial users are taking longer to make decisions amid broader economic uncertainty
At the same time, declining residential permits point to ongoing supply constraints, which could limit future growth and availability in the housing market. While challenges remain, particularly around financing and rising costs, the overall outlook suggests a market that is adjusting to a new normal, rather than experiencing a downturn.
Special thanks to Jill Sylvest for another great year!
