👀A Day in the Life of Monika McKay

Most people know me as a Realtor.

Others know me as the woman talking about AI every chance she gets.

The truth is, both are part of the same mission: helping people move forward with confidence.
Whether I'm helping a family find the right home, teaching a workshop on AI, coaching a business owner through ChatGPT, or creating new resources for Realtors and entrepreneurs, my work centers around one thing: Helping people see what's possible.

A few years ago, I knew very little about AI. Today, it's one of the most powerful tools I leverage every day to save time, create opportunities, and help others stay relevant in a rapidly changing world.

If there's one lesson I've learned during this chapter of life, it's this: You do not have to know everything before you begin.

You simply have to start.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this journey—from real estate clients to training attendees, friends, family, and fellow entrepreneurs.

The Louisiana Fortify Homes Program is opening a new grant lottery on June 1, 2026, with 3,000 grants available to help homeowners upgrade to a FORTIFIED™ Roof.

A FORTIFIED roof is designed to better withstand severe weather and hurricanes—something every Louisiana homeowner can appreciate.

📅 Registration Opens: June 1, 2026 at 8:00 AM

📅 Registration Closes: June 19, 2026 at 5:00 PM

Important eligibility requirements:
✔️ Must be your primary residence
✔️ Property must have a homestead exemption
✔️ Some owner-occupied duplexes may qualify

Not eligible:
❌ Non-owner-occupied rentals
❌ Condominiums
❌ Mobile homes
❌ New construction

With hurricane season here, this is worth looking into if your roof may need replacement in the coming years.

Happy Earth Day 🌍

Karl and I are sending you a lot of love today…

because it’s not just Earth Day over here. It’s also Nicolas Cage’s (the pup, not the actor) birthday! 🎉🐾

And honestly, it feels fitting.
He loves being outside more than anything… and so do we.

Today is a simple reminder that taking care of the earth doesn’t have to be complicated — it just has to be intentional.

A few easy ways we’re trying to do better:
• Recycling consistently (not just when it’s convenient)
• Choosing reusable over disposable when we can
• Being more mindful of what we bring into our homes
• Letting AI help us reduce waste — planning smarter, buying less, and being more efficient overall

One small upgrade we’ve actually loved: switching to a dual trash + recycling system in the kitchen.

It sounds simple, but it makes doing the right thing automatic.
