There are homes… and then there are homes with a soul ♥️ and this Hudson Valley estate is truly the latter.
I couldn’t be more proud and genuinely overjoyed for my incredibly talented client as she steps into her very first home, an extraordinary early 1800s estate set on 14.7 acres of history, privacy, and quiet beauty.
Once home to Jody Wolcott Carson, Johnny Carson’s first wife, this property has been lovingly held and preserved through generations. Every inch tells a story, the iconic red barn standing against the landscape, the peaceful pond reflecting the seasons, and the breathtaking music studio with its cathedral ceilings, spiral staircase, and arched window that feels almost like stepping into a painting.
Warm fireplaces, a charming tavern room, a screened porch made for slow mornings, and grounds that feel more like a private retreat than a property, this is a place where life is meant to be lived deeply.
What made this journey even more meaningful is the person who now calls it home. From day one, she trusted me completely, and that trust is something I will always be grateful for. She works tirelessly for everything she has built, and watching her step into this milestone was nothing short of inspiring.
Closing day was unforgettable, we sat at the table together listening to the amazing seller share 50 years of memories poured into every corner of this home. The story of him hand-building the front steps from stone taken from his childhood home is one I’ll never forget, and I know it will live on in this next chapter too.
Now, a new story begins.
One rooted in legacy, love, and new memories waiting to be made.
She isn’t just moving into a house, she’s becoming part of its history while writing her own.
I am so honored our paths crossed, so grateful for your trust, and beyond excited for everything ahead for you. Welcome to the Hudson Valley 🤍
This is why I love what I do.
