We are happy to announce that Suite 203 is now being occupied by Samantha Kramer and Hanna Perrault. They are both Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LSCW). Please see their bios below:
===========================================
My name is Samantha Kramer. I am a licensed clinical social worker running a private practice. My journey in the mental health field began in 2014 when I started interning at an inpatient chemical dependency unit. Since then, I've had the privilege of working in various settings, including: inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, adolescent partial hospitalization, victim safety and support, and community outpatient mental health.
Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to work with individuals across all ages through a range of therapeutic modalities, such as CBT, DBT, and expressive therapies. What I've learned is that there's no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Instead, I believe in building genuine rapport with each client, meeting them where they are on their unique journey towards healing.
As your therapist, you can expect me to be a collaborative and non-judgmental partner. I won't present myself as a blank slate; instead, I'll walk alongside you through the highs and lows, offering support and guidance when needed. My goal is to empower you to live your best life, celebrating your successes and helping you navigate challenges with courage and resilience.
When not working in my office or spending time with my loving family (which includes a house full of boys, dogs, and a sassy lizard!), you can find me curled up with a good book. I'm always eager to hear recommendations from fellow readers! At the heart of everything I do - professionally and personally - is a deep respect for the idea that we're all doing our best every day. With compassion, understanding, and a growth mindset, I strive to create a safe, supportive space for each client to grow and thrive.
===========================================
My name is Hanna Brinnier Perrault and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Ever since I was a teenager, I was fascinated by psychology and even before college, I was known as the "psychology nerd." I was so eager, ambitious, and passionate to start doing clinical work. Flash forward to years of college, several internships, large caseloads, and working in various settings, I still am fascinated by therapy. I truly believe everyone can benefit from therapy, and I absolutely love being a therapist!
After graduating from Dutchess Community College's Human Services program, I earned my Bachelor of Social Work at Marist University. Soon after, in 2021, at Adelphi University, I received my Masters of Social Work with clinical concentration of mental health & trauma. As both an intern and licensed clinician, I have worked in various outpatient, academic, college, and private practice settings. I enjoy working with many clinical issues, such as trauma/PTSD, grief, anxiety, depression, body image/eating issues, and women's mental health (including perinatal and postpartum mental health). Furthermore, with a strong appreciation in helping young people work through their grief, I have additional training in grief counseling. On both clinical and community levels, I am passionate about Su***de Prevention & Education, and have experience with public speaking on various mental health issues. In addition to providing therapy, I am an adjunct instructor at Marist University.
Aside from having a professional career in mental health and academia, I am also a singer, songwriter, and musician which is a huge part of my identity. When I'm not in the office, I'm often spending time with my family (including my pets and my daughter ) and friends, visiting local coffee shops, traveling, watching movie marathons, or hosting board game parties.
Both personally and professionally, I value kindness, compassion, and authenticity. (And laughter is pretty important too!) With a warm sense of humor, I do not believe that therapy is not “one size fits all,” Thus, I draw from a variety of approaches and strive to meet clients where they are.
