Thinking about moving to Payette County? Summer is honestly one of the BEST times to explore the area. ☀️🏡

You get to experience what everyday life actually feels like here.

Spend a weekend checking out:
🌾 New Plymouth’s small-town charm
🍑 Fruitland parks, neighborhoods, and local businesses
🌊 River access and parks in Payette
🚜 Community events, farmers markets, and fair season
🚗 What the commute feels like to larger Treasure Valley cities

A lot of buyers relocating from Boise, Nampa, Caldwell, and other busy areas are looking for:
✔️ More land
✔️ Larger homes for the price
✔️ RV parking & shops
✔️ Quieter neighborhoods
✔️ Small-town community feel
✔️ Room for animals, gardens, and outdoor living

And one thing I hear over and over?

“I didn’t realize how much I’d love the slower pace out here.”

Payette County real estate has become popular for buyers wanting country living while still staying connected to the Treasure Valley.

If you’ve been curious about living in Payette, Fruitland, or New Plymouth, summer is the perfect time to come explore it for yourself. 🌅

A Payette County summer bucket list looks a little different than big city summers… and honestly, that’s why people love it here. ☀️🌾

A few things that just feel like summer around here:
🍉 Buying watermelon and sweet corn from roadside stands
🎣 Taking the kids fishing before it gets too hot
🍕 Giant pizza nights at Garbonzo’s
🚜 Going to the fair “for just an hour” and somehow staying all night
🌅 Backroad sunset drives through farmland
🏐 Kids bouncing between ball games, parks, and sprinklers
🔥 Late-night campfires and backyard BBQs
🧺 Lavender you pick

Life moves a little slower in Payette County, Fruitland, and New Plymouth — and for a lot of people, that’s exactly the goal.

That’s one reason buyers looking for homes in Payette County are drawn to this area. More space. More community. More of the simple stuff people miss.

Not every summer memory has to be expensive or planned out. Sometimes it’s just muddy shoes, tired kids, and a quiet drive home after a long day. 😂

I knew my kids loved Cemitas Poblanas but I didn’t realize HOW much until Hayes started yelling “taco truck!” every time we drive anywhere remotely close to it. 😂🌮

Doesn’t matter if we already ate, if we’re “just running one errand,” or if I said we’re going straight home… somebody’s asking to stop at the taco truck.

Ashlyn and her friend are especially guilty. Apparently volleyball practice requires a mandatory pre-practice burrito stop. 🌯💀

But honestly, I get it. Good food, huge portions, and another local Payette spot that stays busy for a reason.

If you’ve got kids and need a way to survive the summer heat in Payette County… here’s your cheat sheet. ☀️💦

These are the splash pads and public pool around Payette County that my own kids would probably live at if I let them. 😂

📍 Fruitland Community Park & Splashpad
505 SW 3rd St, Fruitland

📍 Crestview Park Splash Pad
805 SW 8th St, Fruitland

📍 Payette Pool
1225 1st Ave N, Payette

Honestly one of my favorite things about living out here is having simple family stuff nearby without fighting Boise traffic for it. Throw some snacks in the car, sunscreen on the kids, and you’ve got a cheap summer afternoon handled. 👏

🚨 What in the MLS is This?! – Episode 8 🚨

Walking through a house showing…

Everything’s going fine.

We get to the bathroom.

I open the door…

…and immediately wish I hadn’t.

Because sitting in the tub is…
a concerning amount of toenail clippings.

Like not just a couple.

I’m talking…
this was a collection. 😳

Me and my buyers just freeze.

Buyer: “Oh hell no! Are those toenails?!”

Me: 😳

Buyer: 🏃🏼‍♀️

Real estate will humble you REAL fast 😂

Parents… if you’re already hearing “I’m bored” and summer barely started… this one’s for you. 😂☀️

Payette County actually has a lot of great summer programs and activities for kids.

A few local options families look forward to every year:
⚾ Payette County Recreation sports & activities
📚 Summer reading programs at local libraries
🐄 4-H projects & fair prep
🎨 Kids camps, crafts, and community programs
☀️ Boys & Girls Club summer activities

And honestly, one of my favorite things about raising kids here is that they still get to HAVE a real childhood.

Bike rides around town. Fair animals. Ball games. Splash pads. Playing outside until the street lights come on. Small-town summers just hit different. 🌾

As a mom of H.E.C.K.A. kids myself 😂… I know how important it is to find a community where families actually have things to do.

That family-focused lifestyle is a big reason people love living in Payette County. 🏡

One thing people don’t always realize about living in Payette County? You can actually enjoy summer without fighting massive crowds everywhere you go. ☀️😅

Want to take the kids swimming?
Usually doable.

Need a park day?
You can actually find parking.

Want to watch fireworks without sitting in traffic for two hours after?
Welcome to small-town Idaho. 😂

That’s a big reason so many buyers are looking at homes in Payette, Fruitland, and New Plymouth right now. People are craving a little more breathing room.

More backyard BBQs.
More evenings outside.
More room for toys, RVs, gardens, and animals.
Less stress.

You still get community events, summer activities, parks, and recreation — just without the constant big-city chaos.

Honestly, it’s one of the things locals appreciate most once summer hits. 🌅🌾
