Attention All Home Buyers: New Rules Starting August 17th!

Starting August 17th, a REALTOR® CAN NOT show you a home unless you have signed a Buyer's Representation Agreement with them. This is a nationwide change that applies to all REALTORS® whom are members of the National Association of REALTORS®.

Here's what you need to know:
- **A signed agreement is mandatory before touring a home**.
- This agreement outlines the roles, duties, and responsibilities between you and your REALTOR®.
- It's important to interview and choose the right REALTOR® for you. Take your time and make an informed decision.
- The agreement's expiration date is flexible and can be decided together.

These agreements aren't new, but their enforcement is now stricter and nationwide for REALTORS®. Several other states have been using these agreements for years. Just like compensation, these agreements are negotiable.

**Tips for choosing your Realtor:**
- Interview multiple agents.
- Get referrals from friends.
- Make sure they know the local market.
- Ensure they understand contracts and deadlines.
- Choose someone who will promptly answer your calls and texts.
