Last week’s tornado in New Waverly hit our community hard. Many residents were without power for days and lost items they can’t easily replace.

To keep everyone safe and supported, our team arranged hotel accommodations for affected residents — fully covered — while we worked with partners to restore services on-site. We’ve also placed a major restock for the New Waverly Place food pantry to help families refill the essentials they lost.

As our community manager shared:
“I am super proud to say I work for a company who not only cares for the employees but their residents. I love the fact that ITEX cares about its communities. A lot of the residents lost a lot due to no power for some time, and most didn’t have insurance so it wasn’t replaced. This will help a lot of families.”

We’re grateful for our staff, residents, and partners who continue to take care of each other.
