“Living in the heart of NYC with a big family was my first exchange-services experience in the USA, and it was one of the most enriching, in-depth cultural experiences I've had. In a short time I learned about local culture, lifestyle, and government. On my trips, I usually explore the nature and physical sites and have limited time talking with residents. But this time it was different.

Maria, and her husband, James, took me under their wings and offered a nice room for me in exchange for yoga trainings and math lessons for their kids, Annie and Rosie. We spent a great time together! People were interested in learning about my culture too and it was easy to have conversations.
