Some closings are smooth.
Some closings make you earn every inch of the finish line.

Today was the latter.

Lawyers spend a lot of time solving other peopleā€™s problems. Every now and then, we need to solve one of our own: exhaustion.

Sicily was the answer.

What began as a birthday getaway became one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Beautiful accommodations, extraordinary hospitality, surprise celebrations, flowers, ch*****ne, meaningful new friendships, and the kind of genuine kindness that reminds you the world is still full of good people.

My sincere thanks to Gianluca Interrante, Antonella, and the entire team at Mangiaā€™s Torre del Barone Resort & Spa for making a New Yorker feel at home in Sicily.

I arrived looking for rest and relaxation. I left with cherished memories, renewed perspective, and friendships that crossed oceans.
