According to Marketproof, projects in mid August reported 50 new sales—a 32% increase from the month’s first week, which saw 38 contracts, the lowest figure since December 2020.

In the span of just one month, any number of conflicting headlines have confused sellers and buyers: “Home Sellers Cut Prices as Housing Market Cools,” announced The Wall Street Journal; while Redfin is reporting that in July 2022, New York City home prices were up 3.1% compared to last year.

I’m excited to announce that the official launching date of the switch over to The Agency, a global real estate brokerage, is set for the end of this summer! This merger has opened a lot of new opportunities not only for myself but also for my team and our clients.

Over the years, I am proud to say that we have built a robust referral network and have completed multiple successful deals nationally; but because of this great partnership with The Agency, we’ve created more and deeper relationships across the country and have already begun taking steps to fully taking advantage of these global resources for our clients and supporting our clients not only nationally, but internationally. Like the saying, there’s no better time than the present!
 
Moving forward with The Agency, the resources available to make the home selling/buying process easier have increased and I see how The Ko Team is growing and expanding into the future. August is the prime time to take a holiday and you would expect the market to become much slower with everyone away; however, surprisingly, that was not the case. Yes, people left the city for a summer break, but likewise, there was an influx of people who were in the city or came into the city to see new listings, developments, and more.

What seems to be happening in most cases, is that people from out-of-town are calling to inquire about properties that they can see while they visit whether they are trying to move back or considering a home in NYC. Even for The Ko Team’s exclusive listings, the number of people called to inquire even after a property was put into contract has exceeded our expectations!
