Barrett acquired an early appreciation of historic properties and architectural after being raised in a 6-bedroom brick Federal style home in Bloomingburg NY. His enjoyment of history led him to serve for 10 years as City Historian for Newburgh NY which boasts the largest historic district in the State of New York. Barrett is fluent in French and Spanish, and proficiently communicates in Arabic and Italian. When not listing and showing properties, Barrett can be found on stage in various operas in the local metropolitan area.
