This isn’t new ! New York and Long Island have done this before when housing demand outpaces available land.

Eminent domain allows governments to take private property for public use, with compensation.

The real question is how often it gets used as a housing tool and where the line is.

When you’re touring a home with your agent

Remember: what you say matters more than you think.

Even casual comments can impact your leverage.

Please don’t say the following things out loud:

• “I love this house.”
Save it for the car. Enthusiasm can weaken your negotiating position.

• “We’re pre-approved for way more than this.”
You’ve just raised your own price ceiling.

• “We’re tired of losing homes.”
Totally understandable—but it signals urgency and desperation.

Listen here silence is key! Keep things nice and casual with listing agent or whoever is showing you the property! Chat and be hyped when you can touch base away from the property with your agent!!

Keep in mind most houses have cameras and ring door bells 👀👀👀 you never know who’s watching!
