Call me crazy, but when I read a book, I like to read a book. If Community Bookstore in Park Slope doesn't have it, they can order it, so support small business and spend your literary budget where it can make the biggest difference.

The holiday season is the busiest time of year for many retailers, including the country's 2,500 independent bookstores, which, despite Amazon's growing dominance, are flourishing.
