When my wife and I started our family, we wanted a home with more space for our children.
But the kind of house we imagined felt out of reach.
Then we started looking in Orange County, and everything changed.
Here’s why 👇
🏡 Our budget gave us more options.
We discovered that looking farther north could mean more bedrooms, more living space, and a backyard of our own.
🌳 Our children gained room to grow.
Open parks, sports, outdoor activities, and more space to enjoy everyday moments together.
💰 Renting wasn’t our only option.
We started comparing what we paid in rent with what owning a home in Orange County could cost. That opened our eyes to possibilities we hadn’t seriously considered.
🚗 A quieter lifestyle came with trade-offs.
We had to adjust to longer drives and different routines. For our family, the extra space and slower pace made sense.
🍦 Family time started looking different.
An afternoon at the park, a stop for frozen yogurt, and room for the kids to just be kids. Sometimes it’s the everyday moments that remind us why we moved.
The Bronx will always be part of our story.
But moving to the Hudson Valley gave our family space, new experiences, and the opportunity to build a future we once thought was out of reach.
