Scott Woodburn was born and raised in Southern California, His family roots go back to the early 1900 where his Great Grandmother live on Catalina Island in 1913, and His Grandfather was the Chief of police of San Clemente in the 1930s. As a licensed Real Estate Professional for over 27 years, Scott is well versed in his business. In 1993 Scott started his career as a Commercial Real Estate Agent
with Grubb and Ellis. As a Commercial Realtor, Scott specialized in the needs of medical distribution companies in Irvine. At that time, we were experiencing a downturn in the California commercial real estate market, which meant not just helping his clients buy, sell, and lease commercial property Scott was actively renegotiating leases and Facilitating exit strategies for struggling companies. By the end of 1993, Grubb & Ellis sold their residential division to Prudential, and at which time, Scott left Grubb & Ellis and joined Prudential Residential Real Estate. A year later the real estate downturn hit the residential market, and with the skills that Scott learned renegotiating contracts, he became the go-to Realtor when other agents had clients with little or no equity in their homes. At that time Scott was able to get the banks and mortgage companies to let the homeowners sell their homes for less than was owed which at that time was known as “paid as agreed” (now known as a short Sale “Scott is truly one of the very first short sale negotiators”). Throughout his career, Scott has listed, sold, and managed over 100 “real estate owned properties” he’s worked with banks that include Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Chase, Washington Mutual, NationStar, SPS, and Mr. Cooper. He has negotiated hundreds of short sales transactions. Scott’s strengths are understanding and dissecting complex real estate transactions. He truly listens to his clients so to understand their wants, needs, and desires. He takes this approach with all his clients Buyers, Sellers, or Investors so he can educate them of the market and better serve them to help reach their goals.
