Property taxes for 2026-2027 New Castle County
New Castle County property tax bills are delayed again. I suggest if you feel the need go onto the New Castle County website to read in full the details but in summary another review is taking place. Because this review must be completed before the assessment roll can be finalized, tax bills are now expected to be mailed in mid-November 2026, with payment due December 31, 2026. What does that mean for you, if you escrow your taxes, your lender will pay the 2026-2027 tax bill by December 31, 2026 instead of September 30, 2026. If you pay your taxes directly you now have until December 31, 2026 to pay. I also found a link that will allow you to calculate the estimated increase on your property. https://www3.newcastlede.gov/parcel/taxcalculator/, type in your address or parcel number if you know it, select calculate and it will show you the proposed increase on your property.
