🍂 Fall Cleanup Tips for Your Home 🏡
A little seasonal maintenance now can help keep your home and yard in good shape as cooler weather moves in. Add these tasks to your fall cleanup list:
🍁 Clear leaves and debris from gutters, downspouts, walkways and around your foundation.
🌳 Trim back branches and shrubs that are touching your home or could become a problem during fall and winter weather.
🚪 Check doors and windows for gaps or damaged weatherstripping to help keep cold air—and unwanted pests—outside.
🔥 Clean up outdoor spaces by storing patio furniture, hoses, gardening tools and other seasonal items.
🐝 Watch for bees, wasps and hornets. As food sources become scarce in the fall, yellowjackets and other wasps can become more active and aggressive around food, trash and bee colonies. Keep garbage and outdoor food covered, avoid disturbing nests, and give stinging insects plenty of space. If you find a nest near your home or notice hornets or wasps attacking a beehive, consider contacting a pest-control professional or local beekeeper rather than trying to remove it yourself.
🏠 Do a quick exterior inspection for cracks, loose siding, roof damage or other areas that may need attention before winter.
A productive fall cleanup can help protect your home, improve curb appeal and make the transition into the colder months a little easier. 🍂
