I hope all the kiddos have enjoyed their first week or weeks back to school! 🎒📚 My girls have done a lot better than I thought with getting up in the mornings to get ready for school. The bedtimes are still a little bit of a struggle, but they got better by the end of the week.

Did your kiddos survive the first week of school, or were some on the struggle bus by Friday? 🚌💨 I have a feeling this week will be a little different being there every day.

Every time I open Facebook, I see all these back-to-school pictures and keep thinking, “Wait, there is no way these kids are old enough to be going to kindergarten... or graduating!” 😭

Maybe it’s just hitting me because I’m realizing that once school starts, Elizabeth will be a sophomore—which means she only has TWO more first days left. Not to mention next week is Olivia’s last first day of elementary school, and Averie only has one year left after that!

When did my kiddos grow up so fast? When did everyone’s kiddos grow up so fast?! Weren't they all just toddlers yesterday?

Sorry for all the feels, but this momma is having a really hard time with school starting this year. 🥺❤️

Back home after a much-needed (but way too short!) 4-day vacation! 🏕️☀️
We decided to change things up this year and camp at Mounds State Park in Anderson. Despite the heat, we packed a ton of fun into four days:
🏌️‍♂️ Tried out Topgolf in Fishers for the very first time (so much fun!).
🛍️ Did some serious shopping at Castleton.
🧩 Put our teamwork to the test at the Escape Room in Fishers to round out the trip.
❤️ Best of all, we got to spend some wonderful quality time catching up with family and friends from both Anderson and Indy.
It was hot, we are exhausted, but we had the absolute best time. Now, time to unpack! 🚙🏡

Hi everyone, I’m sorry it’s been a few days since my last update. My father-in-law had his pacemaker and defibrillator put in on Monday, and he did absolutely awesome! 🙌

He is getting moved to a rehabilitation facility tomorrow to start his healing process. We aren't exactly sure how long he will be there, but we are anticipating at least 4-6 weeks for him to fully recover from the surgery.

Thank you all so much for the continued prayers, they mean the world to us! ❤️

This or That? 🏠✨

Sorry for being a couple of weeks behind on my "This or That" series! I’m back and ready to settle a kitchen debate.

We know everyone has different ideas when looking for their dream kitchen. If you had to choose, would you rather have a stunning, spacious kitchen island for gathering and prep, or an organized, walk-in pantry to keep everything out of sight?

I love my island, but I do miss the pantry closet we had in the old house!

Update: My father-in-law is doing great! He is off all his machines, they took the feeding tube out, and moved him into a regular room yesterday. He had his first real meal in over a week last night. According to my sister-in-law, he has already gone for a walk this morning! He will be getting a defibrillator tomorrow! When we went to visit him yesterday, he told me he is ready to leave so he can see the fireworks this weekend. 😆We have not gotten word on how long he is staying in the hospital or if he will be moved to rehab before going home. Thank you, everyone, for the continued prayers.
