For 25 years, Cindi worked alongside her late husband, Roger Richard, building luxury single family homes in Andover, North Andover and Boxford. Together they built over 35 homes enjoying the process of creating a quality product and bringing their clients’ dream to life. It can be a bit overwhelming for clients to choose tile, wall colors, countertops and carpets, and then to bring them all toget
her to create a space that works. It’s fun for me and I am able to help my client make decisions.” As an artist Cindi’s brings her knowledge of color to the process, helping her clients create a warm and inviting home. Her love of working with people and offering stellar customer service began in childhood. Working in the family business at the age of 14 at the Shawsheen Luncheonette in Andover, Cindi learned that great customer service not only pleased her father Rollie, but made people really happy. She comments “It was so rewarding to see the smile on a person’s face when you not only remembered their name and favorite meal, but their children’s names and what they were doing in life. I really love getting to know people and finding out what makes them happy.”
Having a soft spot in her heart for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Cindi volunteered for their organization for 10 years chairing events. This is where her two worlds merged. The last two years she co-chaired the event Building for A Cure which brought together builders, real estate agents, contractors, suppliers and the local community. The entire local housing community stepped up to raise funds for the hospital. She remembers the people and expresses this thought: “I was so proud to be a part of such a generous group of people. They really worked together to make a difference.”
As a life coach for the past 10 years, Cindi is able to help her clients make life changes and navigate transitions with ease. She explains “Buying a home, selling a home, downsizing, changing towns and leaving neighbors are all life transitions that can be exciting, yet full of questions and decisions. I have helped many people make these life choices and have guided them through the process.”
She still feels “Building or buying a new home is the most exciting experience anyone can have. To see the happiness this process brings to people is so rewarding. I am very lucky to be a part of a team that stresses the importance of quality products, community involvement and customer service as being an integral part of their business plan.”
