There are moments in business that quietly bring you back to center.
Following the EmpowerHER Summit in Newburyport last week—surrounded by women building, leading, and contributing in meaningful ways—I found myself reflecting not just on what we do…
…but how we do it.
The theme of the day centered around “superpowers.”
Not the loud kind. The real kind.
And one idea really resonated:
The best leaders and advisors don’t choose between data and emotion—
they know how to hold both.
Which made me reflect on how I show up in my own work.
Because in real estate—especially here in the small and intimate communities on the North Shore, Newburyport, Amesbury, and beyond—
it isn’t just about buying or selling a home.
It’s about understanding people.
What matters to them.
What’s changing in their lives.
And helping guide them through it with clarity and confidence.
Yes—data matters.
Market trends. Pricing. Timing.
But so do the quieter things:
Being present.
Meeting people where they are.
Understanding what’s driving their decisions.
Empathy.
Compassion.
Patience.
Perseverance.
Conviction.
Instinct.
And always—integrity.
At the heart of it all,
being human—giving respect and receiving respect—
aren’t just ideas I admire…
they’re the foundation of how I work, how I guide, and how I show up.
Because behind every home is a story—
a transition,
a life moment that deserves care, clarity, and intention.
And at the end of the day,
this business isn’t just about transactions.
It’s about how we show up—
for our clients,
for our community,
and for the places we’re fortunate to be part of.
Grateful for spaces like this.
Grateful for the opportunity to reflect, reset, and realign.
And deeply grateful to be part of a community that continues to support and inspire each other.
✨ If you’re thinking about making a move this year, I’m always here as a resource—whether you’re ready now or just beginning to explore.
