We have personally bought 2 different homes for the recreational value of the location. We bought our home on Tulsa because, although it needed work, and was basically ugly, it backed up to a creek and park.

We bought our place in Newcastle because it offered an opportunity to sit on the front porch and stare at the pond. The fishing doesn't hurt either!
