Check out our family’s favorite Christmas tradition!✨🎄
Every year, we count how many Christmas trees we see strapped on top of cars and piled in truck beds leaving the High Country 😂🌲
People come from all over to get their tree here, and for good reason! Ashe County is the Christmas Tree Capital of the World, North Carolina has sent more trees to the White House than any other state, and Fraser firs only grow naturally right here in our gorgeous mountains.

Have you been to the new Come Back Shack on King Street in downtown Boone yet??? 💛
The vibes, the fries, the fresh made everything… perfection.🍔✨

Fun fact: Come Back Shack started right here in Boone in 2011 as a local, family-owned spot. Still today, there are no freezers in their stores. They have the BEST hand cut fries, fresh never frozen beef, and allllll the sauces + sides you could dream of made in-house. They’ve grown a little since then, you can now find them in North Charleston and Mount Pleasant, SC… but Boone will always be home. 💛
