I always make a nice big mess before the prettier stuff shows its face.

Progress days are awesome. A house full of trades doing a million things at once, a balancing act of trying not to bump each other, jamming to loud tunes and making good progress by the end of the day. Good hard work kinda of stuff

With this project the electricians were turning off and on the lights so I spent half the time working by work lights. Never a dull moment!

You’ve heard me say I do vacation rental design before right?:)

Lake Anna VIRGINIA area is getting down and dirty with 2 of the 7 bathrooms starting to see some progress- floating vanities and 15’ vaulted ceiling tile work happening in these spaces too. And we opted to save some dough and (constant grout) cleaning by NOT tiling the shower floors, instead bringing in sleek black shower pans- it’s a cool super modern look with fluted tiles, natural elements and bam, black!

Designing an investment property that can be built on budget, and stop the scroll for renters. That’s money baby

Working in Jagger Mills today for an awesome collaboration and many month creation project with Chinburg Chinburg Mills TRIGGER(HOUSE for large scale 20’ wall sculptures using repurposed materials from this old textile mill. Coming to life! This was a fun project!

To those who say accent walls are bleh- I scream bologna! Every wall, every nook, is an opportunity for something special.

Durham project is one of my top favorites. Worked my way room to room and just finished the front hallway, staircase and upstairs hall. We have multiple colors, multiple wallpapers, multiple wall woodwork treatments, stained trim- and it all comes together in a space that flows, feels well loved and cared for and “most” of all, is interesting and feels like the client.

Again, everything started off white here, now the homeowner is surrounded by pieces she loves and has collected, paired with new items to highlight what is special to her- now there’s a feeling of comfort, warmth, and if you ask me, coolness! Give me a checkered rug anyway of the week.

5x9 nook in a primary bedroom on the third floor became a primary bath for a bachelor this summer. Kept it simple w black, white and wood vibes but oh la la that shower tile had me w the waves in it. Subtle but interesting!

Saga continues as I tackle my own space in search of the great thing wise people call “organization!”

Also with Casey Fontaine hoping our kids will learn to look for things, put things away, hang things up and eventually know where things go.

Hot mess Wednesday over here in the Fontaine house as I on a whim start tearing apart the disaster of our unorganized garage. Nothing like a spontaneous reorg in the middle of school starting week too!

Getting the kids involved to teach them about our work:)

Let’s turn this hot mess zone into a useful space! We’re gonna look so good in a week!:)

Watching someone you love be recognized for something you already see everyday is pretty special and worth another post of bragging rights:)

So proud of my husband Casey Fontaine for being named top 1.5% real estate professionals in volume in the seacoast NH!

I see first hand how hard he works for his clients, and how he works tirelessly to get people in their dream homes. He knows his s**t. He cares deeply about everyone he works with. Hell, he has even mowed lawns and blown leaves before photos knowing how important it is to put the best foot forward to get houses sold.
