Citizens for Rural Coweta says it has collected 11,440 signatures in its petition drive related to data center development in unincorporated Coweta County.
In a social media update Tuesday, the group said it has reached about 82 percent of its stated goal of 14,000 signatures. Organizers say the petition seeks to place the issue before voters through Georgia's county home rule referendum process.
