Open blinds and curtains to invite natural light, then switch on a few lamps to warm shadowy corners. Clear kitchen and bath counters down to just a couple of intentional items. Take a pass through the living areas to straighten pillows, fold throws and align chairs so rooms read larger and more balanced.

Address scent and sound. Skip heavy fragrancesā€”fresh air or a subtle neutral is more inviting. Turn off TVs and set a low, calm playlist if you use music. Do a quick wipe on mirrors and faucets where fingerprints catch the light. Tuck away pet items and confirm litter boxes and bowls are out of sight.
