Congratulations to our youngest of four, Charlie!

These four years of high school flew by, but you truly made the most of every opportunity at Mater Dei. Your end-of-year awards were incredible and well deserved, including AP Scholar with Honor and STEM Distinction, the World Languages Department Award for Honors Chinese 4, and the Seal of Biliteracy in Chinese. I could keep going, but I’ll stop there!

It has been such a joy watching you pursue your passions, from art, robotics, and tennis to singing in choir this year. I knew the day would come when we would become empty nesters, and everyone always says it goes by fast. They were right.

While it’s hard to believe this chapter is ending, we are so excited for your next adventure at UCSB and for the fun family time ahead as you begin this new stage of adulthood.

Graduation season is here, and we love seeing all the celebrations everyone is sharing about this incredible milestone in their families! We’re proud to share that our daughter Katie graduated from Loyola Marymount University on Saturday. Venus Williams delivered the Commencement keynote address and shared such an inspiring message with the graduates. It was truly a special day!

To our beautiful and talented daughter Katie, your hard work, dedication, and determination have been amazing to watch. From graduating with Phi Beta Kappa honors with a major in psychology and minor in Asia and Pacific Studies, spending a semester abroad in Tokyo last year, and all of the countless hours you spent in the costume design workshop, you’ve made us incredibly proud parents. Watch out world, here she comes!

Working together for almost 10 years has been such a joy! Watching you raise your 3 sweet boys while taking incredible care of your clients with so much heart and dedication has always been so inspiring. What you do isn’t easy, and you handle it all with such grace.

Decision made! 🎓

Our youngest of four is officially heading off to college, and we couldn’t be more excited to share that Charlie will be attending UC Santa Barbara this fall, majoring in Biology!

To all the families who have been navigating this journey over the past year like we have or if you have been there before, I know you get it. The applications, essays, AP exams, and extracurriculars are a marathon and crossing the finish line feels pretty incredible.

Now it’s time to soak in these final weeks of celebrations and all the moments leading up to graduation. And yes, empty nest life is starting to feel very real. We’re so proud, but this next chapter brings both joy and a little sadness, too.
