One of the biggest transformations at 329 Calle Pescador was the addition of a nearly 600-square-foot deck overlooking (swipe to the second pic to see a before shot of the same space).

It was a significant engineering undertaking that required considerable time, planning, and investment, but in a place like San Clemente—known for having one of the best climates in the world—we believe outdoor living is just as important as indoor living.

The result is an expansive outdoor space that functions as an extension of the home, with room for dining, lounging, and entertaining while enjoying panoramic views of Dana Point Harbor, Catalina Island, the Pacific Ocean, and, of course, San Clemente’s most iconic landmark: the iconic Denny’s sign. The added living space came at a substantial cost, but standing on that deck at sunset, we’d say it was worth every penny. What do you think?

At $3,775,000, it ranks among the top three highest sales ever across the entire Central San Clemente community (including Broadmoor) of more than 700 homes. Every single project goes through dozens upon dozens of revisions before we finalize the floor plan and send it to the architect. Fortunately, we have our founder, Gaetano, who can hand-sketch our ideas in real time as we refine the vision (swipe to see one of his sketches).

We just completed 329 Calle Pescador in San Clemente, and my favorite detail might just be the laundry room. In a 2,158 SF home, carving out space for a true laundry room is no easy task, but thoughtful layout decisions—like turning the passthrough from the garage to the great room into a functional laundry space—make a home live so much larger than its square footage.

My other favorite feature is this massive 12' island! Perfect space for entertaining.

13 months ago, we walked this San Clemente property for the very first time with our team (swipe to see a before shot of the kitchen corner shown in the second pic). Next week, we’ll walk it one final time before staging, photos, and bringing it live to the market.

Nothing tells the story quite like a before & after ✨

A little throwback to one of our favorite transformations—819 Calle Vallarta in San Clemente, which sold for $2,125,000.

Even a year and a half later, this one still stands out.

Julia is a South Orange County interior designer with a sharp eye, a clear point of view, and a philosophy she lives by: Elevate and Refine.

Her path into design started in college, driven by genuine interest. After completing her Interior Design certification at Saddleback College, she built her experience in high-end residential projects across South Orange County, including Newport Beach, Corona del Mar, Laguna Beach, and San Clemente.

She launched Genoway Interiors with a simple but uncompromising goal: to create spaces that feel like home, but also exude a unique and custom feeling.

That philosophy shows up in every material she selects. The warm white oak cabinetry. The handmade subway tile with its slight variation and texture. The sculptural plaster range hood that no two builders would choose the same way. The matte black hardware that ties it all together without shouting.

At La Placa Group, we work with professional designers on every single project — and Julia is one of the reasons our homes feel the way they do.
