2400 Holly Lane is one of those homes. It's a place that served these sellers and their family for the past 15 years, where their kids grew up, walked to school, played sports, saw them each get into and graduate college and launch into adulthood.

I often consider a home's appeal as a function of its utility to an owner, almost as a vehicle, that gets people they're going next. 2400 Holly ushered my sellers to the next phase of their life, with a cottage near the beach, where they'll watch sunsets and entertain, and surely play plenty of beach volleyball.

You can truly feel how happy of a place 2400 Holly is, and even if you couldn't, people could tell you... I was astounded at the number of people who came through for showings who knew the owners and had fond memories of dinner parties and pool days in the back yard...

The fact that these sellers knew so many people and have so many friends who sell real estate, makes it that much more of an honor that I had the opportunity to work with them on the sale of such a special place.

Sometimes the universe just aligns...

A few months ago, I was fortunate enough to meet a young family who was leasing a home in Dover. They had expressed that it was their dream to buy a home in the neighborhood. The new home had to be four bedrooms, on a good lot, on a good street and ideally would have a cool-factor... and it could not be more than $3,650,000...

Anyone who works this market knows that this would be considered a unicorn... not easy to find... but we found it. A 1964 mid-century rambling ranch, with a low slung pitched roof and walls of glass surrounding an interior yard space.

This was a transaction where everyone and everything felt aligned from beginning to end. So excited for the buyers who went from strangers, to clients, to neighbors in just a few months.

This transaction was one for the books.

10/10 would do it again ❤️

This home was on the market for nearly a year before I listed it. I received a call from an agent who I'd never met, who said they had a listing that was getting stale and needed a refresh.

This person is a solid agent (and also a full time LA county firefighter 🙏🏻) who was looking to partner with someone who is in the field, day in & day out, with more connectivity in the real estate industry and a fresh marketing approach.

Our team evaluated the property, addressed some of its shortcomings, and did a major refresh on marketing and branding... and ultimately sold the home to a high profile buyer in a market with less favorable conditions than when the home was first listed.

Sometimes photos aren't enough. Sometimes the MLS isn't enough. Sometimes having a license isn't enough...
