We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team of Docents at the Nature Interpretive Center!
What Docents do:
• Interpret and educate visitors of the biological, cultural, historical, and geological resources in Dana Point.
• Lead public programs, including guided walks and group habitat activities.
• Perform biological monitoring.
Where Docents volunteer:
• At the City of Dana Point Nature Interpretive Center, central to 60 acres of protected coastal sage scrub habitat, all while enjoying the stunning ocean view!
Who can be a Docent:
• We welcome volunteers with backgrounds or interests in natural resources, history, education, and more to apply! Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
Docent shifts:
• Shifts are 3 hours in the morning or afternoon. The Nature Interpretive Center is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am - 4pm.
