Your first home doesn’t have to be “the one”. It just has to be your way into the market. In Southern California, waiting for the perfect house with the ideal bedroom/bathroom count, the big backyard, and the two car garage can keep you on the sidelines for years. Buy what you can afford. Let it build equity. Improve it intentionally. Use it to level up later.

I bought a condo at 26 that I could comfortably afford. It didn’t check every box — but it checked enough. Fast forward a few years, and I’m continuing to renovate it to better fit my style and intentionally add value. Just start somewhere! Future you will be grateful.

The new year is usually my happy place. There’s nothing I love more than cracking open a fresh planner, mapping out my business plan, and writing down all of my lofty goals. But this year feels different. We’re expecting our first child in April, and so much suddenly feels out of my control — which makes goal-setting a little tricky. And while I’d be lying if I said that didn’t scare me, I’m surprisingly calmer than I expected.

This summer marks 10 years in real estate and I think that has a lot to do with it. This job has taught me that so much is out of our hands. All we can really do is stay positive, problem-solve as things come up, and try not to sweat the small stuff. Especially when emotions are high and timelines don’t go as planned.

Life is about to look very different, and I can’t predict what those first few months will bring. I’ll still set goals (because that’s who I am) but I’m keeping them realistic. Maybe this isn’t the year I push to level up or chase a new sales volume milestone… but consistency? That feels like a goal worth showing up for. I’ve built a strong foundation in this business, surrounded myself with trusted partners and incredible clients, and I know I can do it all while stepping into my new role as a mama. I can’t wait to see how beautiful 2026 is about to be — and everything I’ll accomplish both personally and professionally. Just wanted to share what was on my heart. Happy New Year, everyone 🤍

Want to know what’s grosser than what’s in your sewer line? Surprise repairs after you move in 🥴

Many buyers are tempted to skip the sewer scope to save on inspection costs — but if you do that, you may end up paying for it later (literally).

For a couple hundred bucks ($250-350), you can find out if there’s any:

+ Root damage
+ Cracked pipes
+ Hidden blockages

It’s not glamorous, but it’s a game-changer. And trust me… this inspection has saved my clients so many times. We’ve been able to negotiate credits or repairs from the seller in scenarios where there was a lot of damage. Let’s make smart moves now, so there are no regrets later 😉

JUST SOLD 🏠🤍 Huge congratulations to the Butler Family (including their newest addition, Charlie 👶🏼). Timing is a funny thing - after months and months of searching, the perfect property finally hit the market the same week their first baby was due. Stressful? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely.

Against 9 other offers, we got their offer accepted for their dream home just 2 days before baby’s due date. And to top it off… the appraisal came in $115,000 above their purchase price! Instant equity! 🙌🏼
