The Machoskie & Associates team is happy to welcome Jonathan Cheadle to the team! Born and raised in Newport Beach, Jonathan brings a native’s understanding of coastal Orange County to every client relationship. He pairs a lifetime spent in these neighborhoods with a disciplined, current knowledge of the local market, serving clients throughout Newport Beach, Corona del Mar, Irvine, and the surrounding coastal communities.

A graduate of Southern Methodist University, he began his career at a well-known private wealth management firm, supporting advisors who served high-net-worth families. He then spent several years working alongside a professional trustee and fiduciary, conducting due diligence on property and business transactions worth tens of millions of dollars, and as a loan analyst reviewing appraisals and auditing loan files on real estate loans secured by coastal Southern California properties. He has coordinated probate sales through escrow, reviewed title, and structured loan documents. 

As an Associate on the Machoskie & Associates team at Compass, Jonathan draws on the strength of an experienced, top-ranked team with deep local market knowledge and a trusted network of lenders, title officers, escrow professionals, and other specialists supporting every transaction.

A longtime volunteer with the Balboa Yacht Club and an Eagle Scout, Jonathan remains closely tied to the coastal Orange County community he grew up in. He is also active with Hope Mission Society, a family-supported charity in Rwanda that teaches sustainable farming techniques, provides English language instruction, and administers micro-loan programs for its participants.

Outside of work, Jonathan can usually be found sailing, traveling, exploring the local food scene, or behind a camera pursuing his interest in photography.
