Based in our Newport Beach office, this paid, full-time internship gives undergraduate students hands-on experience within BKM’s vertically integrated industrial real estate platform.

Interns will contribute to meaningful projects, work alongside experienced professionals, and gain exposure across the firm, with potential areas of focus including:
• Acquisitions & Dispositions
• Finance & Accounting
• Portfolio Management
• Marketing & Communications

Our latest Value-Add Case Study highlights the transformation of Hohokam Business Park, a 257K SF multi-tenant light industrial property in Phoenix, AZ. Through BKM’s hands-on value-add strategy, Hohokam Business Park was transformed through targeted improvements, suite conversions, and active property management.

Key results include:
- 95% sustained occupancy between 2020 and 2024
- 84% increase in property value between purchase and sale
- 80% increase in NOI between 2020 and 2024
- Nearly 40% of the park’s SF marked to market through 34 unit rollovers

BKM Capital Partners, in partnership with German American Realty GmbH, has acquired Aero Business Park, a 61K SF multi-tenant light industrial property in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for $14M. Located within the Central Broward submarket, the acquisition marks BKM’s entry into South Florida and further expands the firm’s growing Florida footprint.

“South Florida has the population growth, business formation, and supply constraints that create considerable demand for small-bay space, but a lot of the region’s existing inventory was built for a different kind of tenant,” said Brian Malliet, Founder, CEO and Chief Investment Officer of BKM. “That gap between what exists and what tenants actually need is where our platform does its best work. Palm Crossing South sits in the middle of the region with access in every direction, and we expect it to be one of several investments we make in this market.”

As we wrap up another incredible summer, we also wrapped up Wellness Week by celebrating the people who make BKM a great place to work!

Last week, the Newport Beach BKM'ers participated in wellness activities including a company-wide step challenge, free throw competition, toughness challenge, and relaxing massages, all focused on promoting healthy habits, friendly competition, and taking time to recharge. We closed out the week with our final Summer Social of the year, welcoming Orange County Animal Allies and their adorable companions to the office.
